Flare Mode™

What is Flare Mode?

Flare Mode™ is an accessibility feature designed by PatientLead Health for people experiencing brain fog, fatigue, or cognitive overload. With one click, it transforms copy-intensive pages of our website into a simplified, less distracting experience.

How it works:

  • Toggle on/off – Click the button at the bottom right of any page to enter or exit Flare Mode
  • Simplified navigation – Complex menus and content are replaced with essential options only
  • Summary cards – Detailed pages become easy-to-scan grids with key information
  • Persistent choice – Your preference is remembered across visits and devices
  • Full site coverage – Cleans up every page, with significant simplification of the most copy-heavy pages

Who it’s for:

  • People experiencing brain fog from chronic illness
  • Those managing fatigue or energy limitations
  • Anyone feeling overwhelmed by standard web layouts
  • Users who need information quickly during medical flares
  • People with cognitive processing challenges

What you’ll see:

Instead of full navigation bars, sidebars, and dense content blocks, you’ll find:

  • large, clear buttons or cards
  • Essential information summarized in brief chunks
  • High-contrast, easy-to-read text
  • Direct paths to tools, resources, and support

Flare Mode recognizes that sometimes you need critical health information but don’t have the cognitive energy to navigate complex websites. It’s healthcare web accessibility designed for the reality of chronic illness.

To activate: Look for the “Enter Flare Mode” button in the bottom right corner of your screen.
